Peer Review Policy
Ensuring integrity, transparency, and quality in textile research publishing
Advances in Textiles Technology follows a rigorous peer review system to ensure the scientific quality, originality, and credibility of all published research. Every submitted manuscript undergoes structured evaluation by subject experts before acceptance.
1. Peer Review Overview
Peer review is an essential part of scholarly publishing, helping editors assess the scientific merit of submitted manuscripts and assisting authors in improving their work. Reviewers play a critical role in maintaining research integrity and are expected to follow ethical and professional standards.
2. Double-Blind Review System
The journal operates a double-blind peer review model in which both author and reviewer identities remain concealed. This approach minimizes bias and ensures fair, objective, and transparent evaluation of research manuscripts in textile science and engineering.
3. Evaluation Criteria
Manuscripts are assessed based on originality, scientific validity, methodological accuracy, data interpretation, clarity of presentation, ethical compliance, and contribution to textile research advancement and industrial innovation.
4. Editorial Screening Process
All submissions first undergo editorial screening, including plagiarism detection, scope verification, reference quality assessment, and language evaluation. Manuscripts not meeting basic requirements are returned to authors for revision before peer review.
5. External Peer Review
Qualified experts in relevant textile disciplines evaluate manuscripts in detail. Reviewers provide constructive feedback and recommend acceptance, revision, or rejection. In case of conflicting reviews, additional expert evaluation may be requested.
6. Editorial Decision
Final publication decisions are made by the editorial board after considering reviewer feedback and revised submissions. Decisions may include acceptance, minor revision, major revision, further review, or rejection.
7. Confidentiality & Ethics
All manuscripts under review are treated as confidential. Reviewer and author identities are protected throughout the process. Any conflict of interest must be disclosed, and reviewers are expected to withdraw when necessary to ensure ethical integrity.
